Everyone knows that wedges are easier to walk in than heels, and in my opinion they usually look a lot nicer as they do not suffer from heel breakage and the general wear and tear you see on heels which makes them look cheap after a certain amount of time. Not only are they so much more comfy, but they are a lot easier to take from daytime to night-time and they are so summery
I have been asked so many times by various people ‘How many pairs of shoes do you own?!’ because there is nothing like a good pair of shoes to spice up an outfit and well….although I do not want to give in to the stereotype, I am female after all.
Here are my favourites online:
Mia Black Nubuck Peeptoe Cork Effect Wedge Heels
At £35 these shoes from Boohoo are practically a bargain and because they are so simple and black, they could go with anything. A nice chunky heel is always a good thing in my book, it prevents sore ankle injuries and makes shapely calves look that little bit slimmer! I particularly like the cork platform on these, it looks more modern than plain old wood. Although these would look lovely with bare legs, I also think with thick black tights they would look cool with a bright coloured skirt or dress.
However if you do not feel like black in summery enough…check them out in camel! Very tempted to buy these myself.
Tasha Tan Wooden Wedge Shoe Boots
If you’re daring and fancy a higher heel (14cm in fact) these £30 wedges from Boohoo are the perfect slip ons. The neutral colour add length to bare legs and is a nice change from black. They are also not too summery so you could continue wearing these through the seasons. Mind you, I would not attempt these on snowy ground… I would pair these with black leather (but preferably pleather!) shorts and a white blouse or with a long, fitted black dress on a night out and simple jewelry.
Persuaded? Or are you too attached to your trusty black heels? Let me know what you think :]
